Implementing Game Modes (probably!)


Played through the game at last!  Managed to blast through waves 1 to 50, scored 1,943,332!
It's quite a challenge, but those extra lives make all the difference, and you do have to concentrate, unlike when I added shields to your robotroll and you didn't really care what you bumped into!

The game modes shall be implemented next, so will probably need to pull out the multi-high score routine from Quantadrome.
game mode selection is in, but not used currently (you can only play on Arcade mode) I'm thinking...

  • Arcade Mode - play from level 1 or any level really, up to 50 then the final 'challenging' level!
  • Random - scenery and baddies are randomly generated
  • Timed - pick from a selection of time, maybe 1, 5 or 10 minutes - blast as much as you can before time runs out
  • Fixed level range - select a range of levels for example 1 to 10, see how much you can score, every point is precious!
  • No power ups - for the purist...just your basic gun and no megaweapon! Good luck with that one!
